Watch for email replies
Track important external replies and bring them back to the right Offloop Channel.
Use email reply watching when work depends on someone outside the workspace: customers, investors, vendors, candidates, support users, or partners.
When to use it
Use a watch when you would otherwise say, "let me know when they reply." Do not rely on memory. Create a narrow signal that can wake the right Channel when the email arrives.
Prerequisites
- Gmail connector access for the account that should be watched.
- A Channel where the reply should be reported.
- The best available filter: sender, recipient, domain, subject, thread, or semantic condition.
1. Check the mailbox first
Check whether [person/company] has replied about [topic].
If they have, summarize it in this Channel.
If not, keep watching for the reply and tell me what watch you armed.2. Use a narrow watch
Good watches include a known sender or domain, a known thread or subject, the business reason the reply matters, and the Channel that should receive the update.
3. Decide what happens after the reply
When the reply arrives, bring it back here with:
1. who replied,
2. the key ask or decision,
3. suggested response or next task,
4. whether I need to approve an external reply.Autonomy boundary
Offloop can monitor and summarize matching messages. It should ask before sending a reply, adding recipients, forwarding private content, or changing mailbox settings.
